The 4 B’s to Manifest Money in Your Life
If you had the ability to step away from your around-the-clock job (while knowing that you were still bringing in money)…what would you do with your newfound free time?
…Reduce your working hours and spend more time with your family?
…Plan that cross-country road trip you’ve been talking about with your spouse?
…Book a cruise to a foreign country?
Good news, my friend. I’m telling you that I’ve found 4 ways to manifest money and abundance in your life so that you can make these dreams a reality. Read on to learn more about what I like to call “The 4 B’s”.
Be still. Be generous. Be active. Be patient.
The Law of Attraction
You may or may not have heard of The Secret, a popular book by Rhonda Byrne that talks about “The Law of Attraction”—The idea that focusing on the goal of what you want (instead of being upset that you don’t have it) will attract that thing into your life. If you focus on the negative, on the other hand…you’ll push it away.
I’ll be honest with you: At first, I wasn’t sure if I believed in the law of attraction (or that it could draw in buku bucks), but I don’t like to shoot down an idea I haven’t tried.
A year or so after I graduated from college, I began taking 10-15 minutes daily to sit in silence, expressing gratitude for where I was in life and what I currently had, meditating and praying before I began or ended my day.
The first year that I began taking time to be still and sort through my thoughts each day, I realized that I truly wanted to start my own business. A year and a half later, I found myself signing emails as CEO of a “small-scale” (erm, team of one) digital marketing agency.
What’s the next step you want to take in your life? Whether it’s reclaiming your leisure time or going on a long-overdue vacation with your family, taking time to meditate every day has the ability to get you there.
Using Meditation for Financial Abundance
After experiencing this in my life, I began to wonder: If I was able to somehow draw these blessings into my life by meditating on the positive things every day…could I do something similar to attract financial abundance?
I found that there are a lot of blogs out there about how to attract money, and while they’re great resources, they seem to have a lot of steps involved!
I read through at least eight blogs across the web, paired it with my own past experiences, and boiled it down to four simple life mantras that I’m betting will bring you not only financial abundance, but abundance in all aspects of your life.
The 4 B’s
My journey with this process began by taking time to sit in silence every day for at least 10-15 minutes. If you have more time to spend focusing your thoughts and calming your mind, great! If you have less time to spend…also great!
Sometimes my meditation and “still time” looked like prayer. Sometimes, it was journaling. Other times, this peace and quiet came while I was hiking, doing yoga, or practicing deep breathing.
It all starts with taking some time each day to be still. The key is to let your mind rest, wander, be grateful, and find a little bit of peace.
Yes, you heard me. Alexa, play that song by Boston. We’re looking for peace of mind! 😉
When you give yourself the time to be still, whether it’s 5 minutes or 45 minutes, you are tapping into things that go deeper than the daily grind. Meditate even once (truly meditate, no checking your phone or playing the TV in the background), and you’ll probably realize something that you weren’t aware of before. Keep a journal nearby so you can write it down.
Most importantly, this is time to sit (or walk) with your thoughts. Focus on where you are, where you’d like to go, and give thanks for the journey.
Start taking action by giving yourself time to be still each day. Meditating on money and prosperity is important, but it’s also true that an object won’t change its motion unless a force acts on it (thanks, Newton!).
Think about this: My dream to be an entrepreneur wouldn’t have become a reality if I hadn’t asked a few mentors about the steps I needed to take to start a business.
The real changes begin to happen when you take action.
There are several things that you can do to enact Newton’s first law of motion in your financial life…
- Assess where you currently are with money. Let go of your money fears, and take things at face value.
- Research investing opportunities, like the stock market or real estate. Each of these has different benefits and hurdles for investors.
- Meet new people who have insights that can help. If you’re not ready to commit to an investment just yet, there are online forums and groups you can be a part of to learn more about how to be financially savvy.
- Team up with an investor group. At WealthChakra, we offer resources so that you can create your own group. We can also can connect you to an already-established investor community so you can hit the ground running.
Whatever route you choose to take, remember: The key is to be active!
What goes around, comes around.
Let’s say that you forgot your wallet at home, and someone you didn’t know loaned you five dollars to catch the bus. Later, you saw them on the street and they asked to borrow five dollars. Would you let them?
Probably, because they helped you in the past…right?
In the grand scheme of things, we’re really just loaning and borrowing dollars from one another.
If you use some of your funds to help out another person in need, those funds are sure to come back into your pocketbook in some shape or form, some way or another.
Don’t be like Smaug and hoard your gold. Take a look and see if there’s some money you can donate to charities, or save a few dollars each week to buy groceries that you can then hand out to people you see on street-corners.
When you place an emphasis on helping others in your life, you can experience an abundance of joy knowing that you’ve helped someone, and an abundance of wealth that will come later on when someone else unexpectedly helps you.
Let’s be honest, a millionaire won’t step into your life the day after you donate to a food bank. That’s not how life works! However, I assure you, if you take action and integrate gratitude and generosity into your day-to-day life, you will see a return on your investment.
Even if it’s not immediate, when you start with being still and meditating at least once a day, it’ll create a change in how you navigate life. Again, you may not have a million dollars fall in your lap…but you might develop the mentality and drive you need to create financial freedom for yourself over time.
While I was researching money and meditation, I read about one writer who practiced Transcendental Meditation every morning. He saw huge changes happen in his work day. I can’t tell you what form it’ll take, but I can tell you this: If you start integrating the 4 B’s into your life, you’ll see changes start happening in one way or another.
As you move through this journey, remember to be patient with yourself, with others, and with the process.
At the end of the day (and at the end of my “money meditation” Google searches)…I think I’ve come to believe that it really is that simple. If anything, it’s a simple enough idea to try.
Be still. Be active. Be generous. Be patient.
